FTW Countryways Molly

Bunty, my black and white ESS, is a fantastically fast and hard hunting bitch. Her characteristics are very similar to her sire Raven Inquest.  She is a dog that has always shone out.  Even as a pup of twelve weeks old she had an almost regal stance that suggested she was a cut well above others. She is a clever dog and very quick to learn.  She did go through a minor blip when she would blink, rather than pick dummies, and I did briefly wonder if this treasure was destined for the beating line?   A short break, a little thought, then a switch to hard baked bread rolls as a retrieve, set Bunty’s training back on track.

At just over a year old Bunts was pretty much fully trained and ready to put her worth to the test.  She collected a few COM’s in various autumn tests but as I developed her training it became clear that a field trial was where she would really score.  And score she did, on her very first field trial outing, and still one day short of eighteen months old!

First place at the Dorset Working Spaniel Club Novice ESS Field Trial to Countryways Molly, along with the Sunstar Perpetual Cup, the Guns Choice Trophy, £20 from the Guns, and a generous voucher from Roger Skinner Ltd.

A real SpotOnSpaniel is Bunts!
